Impact Write-Up (May 19th, 2011): Keep Rollin’, Rollin’, Rollin’…

57

First and foremost, I am very sorry this is late. I’ve had a rough couple of days between a good friend’s father passing away and then “Macho Man” Randy Savage, in a very odd and twisted way, both the exact same way. I have just been an emotional ball of mess. Between worrying about my friend and her family and losing such a huge chunk of what made me fall in love with this business. But, I love you guys so I am going to give it my best shot. Bear with me and hopefully this won’t be as lackluster as I feel.

We start this week out in the ring, with the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions, Sarita and Rosita. They’re taunting Christy Hemme and she is just playing along like nobody’s business. Out next is their tag team partner, Madison Rayne and this looks to be a six Knockout tag team match. Oh boy. SHE’S A KILLER QUEEN! Madison comes out, atrocious fence of a crown on top of her head and looks aggravated, as usual. She stops to wave to her kingdom before making her way down to the ring, grinning to bare it. HARDCORE COUNTRY! Their opponents Tara, Miss Tessmacher and the TNA Knockouts Champion, Mickie James pop out next. Literally if you’re Tessmacher. Mickie flashes that gold strap up to the crowd and Tara just looks like a bouncer from the club down the street. This should be a rather fun loving match-up.

Exclusive: Ivelisse Velez Speaks on Tough Enough Exit, Injury, Tension with Christina and More!

In a world exclusive, Diva Dirt has the first interview with Tough Enough contestant, Ivelisse Velez, following her exit from the USA Network show last Monday. The spicy Puerto Rican was cut by ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin following a leg injury, and had a very emotional farewell. We catch up with Ivelisse to find out about her exit from the show, the status of her injury, and the story behind the tension with Christina, as Ivelisse addresses her harsh comments about her fellow contestant.

Ivelisse Eliminated from Tough Enough

Ivelisse also speaks on what it was like being the girl with the most experience, whether she was apprehensive over having to learn the basics again as a six-year pro, her thoughts on her fellow female contestants, Trish, who she thinks will win and if she might have a future in WWE.

Tough Enough Taping at FCW Spoilers

The Tough Enough cast filmed some bonus scenes last night at FCW. Check out the spoilers below:

Spoiler
The remaining contestants, including Christina, took part in exhibition matches in the FCW ring with Bill DeMott. Booker T was on commentary.

Spoilers:

The first exhibition match featured Bill Demott and Christina. They exchange side head lock take downs and then Christina got a near fall on Demott. She gave Demott an arm drag and drop kick. Christina went up top and went for a cross body press but Demott caught her and then put her down. Then Demott shook Christina’s hand and they were done.

Based on the ending of this week’s episode of Tough Enough, I was surprised to see Christina come out for the first exhibition. Of the three exhibition matches with Bill Demott, the crowd gave the best reaction to Andy. The second best reaction was given to Christina, with Luke getting the worst reaction of the three who wrestled with Bill Demott. It felt like Jeremiah got a better reaction than Luke.

I thought Andy looked the best in the ring of the four finalists. Christina surprised me with her performance and I thought she did a better job than Luke. Jeremiah looked okay with Orlov but he was a little awkward when he came off the top turnbuckle. (Source: PWInsider)

Brie vs Kelly at Over the Limit This Sunday

It looks like we will be getting a Divas Championship match this Sunday at WWE’s Over the Limit pay per view, despite no official announcement being made as yet.

Brie Bella let slip on Twitter that she’ll be facing Kelly Kelly, but has since deleted her tweet.

Kelly has picked up wins over the Bellas in the last couple of weeks.

I guess WWE.com will make an official announcement in the next few days.

Thoughts: With the roll Kelly’s been on, I’m backing her to take the belt on Sunday. But with Kharma circling Kelly, I’m thinking the title win will be the trigger that finally leads to Kharma putting a hurtin’ on Kelly. (The flick to the forehead doesn’t count!)

UPATE (May 20th): The match was confirmed on SmackDown today.

Kharma Brings in Ratings on Raw?

28

It seems that the promise of a little Kharma has helped the Divas segments increase in the Raw ratings.

This week’s Divas segment gained 333,000 viewers over the previous segment, perhaps aided by the attraction that is Kharma.

That is a big upswing compared to the previous two weeks where the Divas segments lost viewers (Kelly vs Maryse a few weeks ago lost over 1 million according to the Wrestling Observer‘s stats).

Thoughts: It seems like fans are following trends from previous weeks, realizing that Kharma is likely to appear at the end of every Divas match, and tuning into the Divas segment to see her. We’ll have to see if the upswing continues next week.

Two FCW Divas Set to Debut on WWE TV Soon

56

As perhaps indicated by her touring with the brand this past weekend, AJ is scheduled to debut on SmackDown soon, reports the Wrestling Observer.

The Observer also reports that fellow ex-NXT Rookie Diva and FCW General Manager, Maxine, is set to debut also.

Michelle McCool Delivers Some Real Talk, Addresses Critics in the Divas Lockerroom

107

Retired Diva, Michelle McCool, joined Torrie Wilson and Lilian Garcia on the Tough Enough After Show this past Monday. Michelle’s official fansite has a transcript of her interview in which she was asked about whether there was any cattiness or backstabbing in the Divas lockerroom because of her status as ‘top Diva’.

Read below:

Torrie Wilson: Do you feel like the more you went up the ladder, getting the belts and being on television and had all these great things happening, do you feel like you had to work harder to prove yourself to the women? Did you see a lot of clawing and backstabbing, or was it… helpful?

Michelle McCool: Oh, gosh. No. You know the answer to that question! (laughs) The higher you climb the ladder, everyone is going to have a reason as to why you’re there, why you’re on TV, and they don’t want to believe the fact you’re in the working hard, fighting for storylines. Instead of complaining about only have two or three minutes on TV, you want to make those two or three minutes mean something, so that you can go somewhere the next week, and the next month, and then the next three months. And that’s what Layla and I did. And, yeah. A lot of people just didn’t want to believe that; I just think that’s the easy route. I think that they did, in their hearts, know that. The backstabbing, the clawing, it’s always there. It definitely comes up more when you’re on TV a little more often. And I can laugh. A prime example, Layla and I. We pitched an idea when we were going back and forth between RAW and SmackDown. We did a pre-tape on RAW when we got kicked off: so, we show up at RAW and get kicked out of the building. Two weeks later, they call us up to be on RAW again. It’s like, dang! Of course, all of the girls are complaining. We’re just like, ‘hey, we tried to get kicked off the show. It’s not our fault. Sorry we’re here.’ But you know, it’s like. Somebody else step it up! And I know that sounds horrible, but that’s what it is.

Raw Redux (May 16th, 2011): The Flick Heard ‘Round the World

This week on Monday Night Raw, the perpetually perky Kelly Kelly found herself in a non-title match against the Divas champion, Brie Bella with Nikki Bella at ringside. As we have seen in weeks past, Kelly has made her way onto Kharma‘s list of potential victims. Will Kharma finally get her hands on Kelly this week, or will Kelly manage to slip through her fingers once more? Also, can Kelly Kelly pull out a win over the Divas Champion and move herself into title contention? Check out this week’s Divas segment below and find out:

Out first is Kelly Kelly, looking absolutely stunning in blue and not a teensy bit concerned about the fact that Kharma seems to show up in every one of her matches. I’m just saying if I was K2, I’d be looking to enlist some protection from Kharma. And by protection, I mean someone to distract Kharma while I run for my life. The Bellas are out next with the Divas title in tow. They do their usual entrance and our match is underway.

TNA Sacrifice in Review: The King and Queen(s) Take a Royal Beating

It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Okay, so maybe a couple of moments. We’ve seen weeks upon months of back and forth between all competitors in tonight’s matches. Whether it’s the self-proclaimed “Queen” of the Knockouts division or the Queen of the Mountain, I have a feeling that tonight, someone is going to get overthrown. So much is on the line tonight. The Knockouts Championship and the contract of a scorned henchwoman, to the physical stature of Little Mama and Big Daddy. The return of a female phenomenon to the ring after ten years has the Impact Zone on fire tonight. I have a feeling there are definitely going to be fireworks. I hope you brought the marshmallows for roasting because there’s going to be heat.

Our real and true action for TNA Sacrifice starts out in the form of Jeff Jarrett and his Queen of the Hillside, Karen Jarrett. They slowlly make their way onto the stage, hand on the ribcage, crutches in hand and a boot on the foot. Say what?! Karen is dressed like she’s on her way to the prom, heel and all. Jeff hands her the crutches and they make their way to the ring, slow enough for another population to have enough time to develop on a foreign planet. When they finally reach the apron, Jeff helps her up and through all the pain and anguish, she limps to the middle of the ring. Jeff takes to the microphone, stating that unfortunately, and being an adorable, caring wife and mother. Please, give him all of your attention because he has a very important announcement to make! Listen people! Listen!
