No Holds Barred Match scheduled for tonight’s RAW

Nikki A.S.H. became RAW Women’s Champion the night after Money in the Bank when she cashed in her briefcase on Charlotte Flair. Flair herself had just become champion at Money in the Bank after defeating Rhea Ripley. The three now find themselves booked with the title on the line for the upcoming SummerSlam event.

Flair pinned Nikki last week in a non-title match. The feud continues tonight with them facing off in a No Holds Barred Match. Flair sent a message to Nikki over the weekend at a house show in Detroit. She says that she is going to teach Nikki how to be a champion and will humiliate her and punish her.

Nikki A.S.H. cashes in and becomes RAW Women’s Champion

Nikki A.S.H. took no time in cashing in her Money in the Bank contract and is your new RAW Women’s Champion. This is Nikki’s first-ever singles title in WWE. She is a former two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion with Alexa Bliss.

She cashed in after the main event which saw now-former RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a rematch against Rhea Ripley. Flair had defeated Ripley on Sunday at Money in the Bank to become a five-time RAW Women’s Champion and 11-time Women’s Champion in total.

The rematch main event ended in disqualification when Flair clobbered Ripley in the head with the championship belt on the ramp. As Flair took time to gloat and hear that she was still the RAW Women’s Champion as a result of the disqualification, Ripley took the fight back to her. After Ripley had decimated Flair just enough, the Almost a Superhero Nikki rushed towards the ring with the briefcase in hand.

She asked for the match to start as she was cashing in, she climbed up to the turnbuckle waiting for the bell to ring. Once Flair was on her feet, Nikki hit a crossbody to get the three count on The Queen to become the RAW Women’s Champion for the first time in her career.

This makes the third time that Flair has been cashed in on. Previous Money in the Bank winners Carmella (2017) and Bayley (2019) both cashed in on Flair to each become SmackDown Women’s Champion. Carmella is the only briefcase holder to hold the briefcase for longer than one day.

Nikki A.S.H. victorious heading into Money in the Bank; Rhea Ripley and Natalya clash on RAW

Monday’s RAW didn’t just signify the go-home show for the red brand when it comes to Money in the Bank but it was the last show of the ThunderDome era. This show was pre-taped and fans will be returning regularly to WWE shows starting with this Friday’s SmackDown.

With that being said, a Fatal 4-Way match took place between the four women representing RAW in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match which will take place this Sunday, July 18. Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and Nikki A.S.H. all wanted to get a leg up heading into the event by pulling out a win.

A match that started out as a Fatal 4-way became a Triple Threat after Bliss disappeared. Earlier in the night, Eva Marie and Doudrop came to Alexa’s Playground. And although Bliss and Doudrop seemed friendly, Bliss wasn’t keen on the fact that Eva tagged along when she wasn’t invited.

During the Fatal 4-Way, Doudrop and Eva made their way out to the ramp. A distraction caused Eva to be scared by Bliss and she tried to use her shoe to shoo her away. Doudrop then dumped Bliss over the barricade and that is where she disappeared from the match.

Now with only three women left, things really picked up in the match and it was Nikki who picked up the win after she pinned Asuka. Leading up to the pin, Naomi hit a swift kick from the ring apron to Nikki over the top rope. Asuka then delivered a codebreaker to Naomi in the ropes causing Naomi to fall to the outside taking her out of the equation. After a few pin attempts by Nikki, Asuka tried to lock in the Asuka Lock but Nikki had a unique roll through in order to get Asuka’s shoulders on the mat for the three count.

Elsewhere on RAW, we saw the build continue towards the RAW Women’s Championship match between the champ Rhea Ripley and challenger Charlotte Flair. The two will battle it out at Money in the Bank with the gold on the line and with Ripley trying everything she can to best The Queen. Flair has been using Flair’s tactics against her for a number of weeks now. In fact, it helped her retain against Flair at Hell in a Cell when she disqualified herself in order to keep the title.

In a refreshing match, Ripley faced one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Natalya. The two put on a stellar match that highlighted both women. Natalya was added to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match by WWE Authority Sonya Deville on social media prior to RAW taking place.

Prior to Nattie’s match with Ripley, she and Tamina continued to have issues with Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke backstage. The verbal assault turned physical after Tamina shoved Brooke before the tag champs walked away. Rose and Brooke are still gearing up to take the tag titles from the champs, they are just waiting for the match to be set.

Ripley ended up pinning Natalya and as to be expected, Flair jumped Ripley from behind with a chop block to the knee. Flair made sure that the champ and her opponent come Sunday wasn’t going to walk out of the last ThunderDome easily. She continued delivering the pain to Ripley’s knee as she wrenched it on the ring apron.

In a backstage interview with Flair, she makes an emphatic statement that she will become RAW Women’s Champion and that it is game over for Ripley. As Ripley tries to continue her championship reign since dethroning Asuka at WrestleMania, Flair will try to win the RAW Women’s Champion for the first time since 2016.

Nikki Cross is “Almost a Superhero”; Doudrop gets a pin on Asuka

On this week’s RAW, Nikki Cross continues with her new gimmick she started last week and has coined that she is “Almost a Superhero.” Claiming that her name could end up being Nikki A.S.H as a result, commentary went back and forth between calling her both names throughout her match against Shayna Baszler.

Prior to their match, Baszler was seen backstage by herself with a deck of cards. Nia Jax and Reginald approached her making sure she was focused heading into her match with Cross. After they walked off-screen, Alexa Bliss was seen lurking in the background. Last week, Bliss and Cross qualified for the upcoming Money in the Bank Ladder Match after they defeated Jax and Baszler. Cross pinned Baszler so The Queen of Spades was looking for some revenge against her and further had plans to take care of Bliss.

Bliss came out during the Cross vs. Baszler match and although she interacted with Jax and Reginald, the match continued. Baszler was distracted by the happenings on the outside, however, Cross wasn’t able to get the pin right away. After a clothesline took down Cross, she regained momentum by locking Baszler’s arm and placing her in a cradle for the victory.

Moving on to a rematch from last week, Doudrop and Eva Marie took on Naomi and Asuka. Last week, Naomi and Asuka got the win after the Eva-Lution has already started to have cracks in its mission. After Eva gave the pet name of Doudrop to Piper Niven, the “protege” wasn’t too happy. She stepped off the apron instead of accepting the tag which allowed Naomi to pin Eva. Naomi and Asuka qualified for the upcoming Money in the Bank Ladder Match as a result.

This week, we saw distrust again between the new members of RAW but this time Eva Marie jumped down from the ring apron and refused to tag in to help her partner. This time, however, Doudrop was able to maintain focus and she won the match after hitting a crossbody off the ropes on Asuka. Although this was a tag team match, Eva took the mic from the ring announcer and said that the winner of the match was just herself. This left Doudrop fuming in the ring as the segment ended.

The third and final women’s match of the night was the advertised six-woman tag team match. RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley teamed up with Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke to face Charlotte Flair and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Tamina and Natalya.

For the first half of the match, Flair/Tamina/Natalya isolated Brooke in their corner keeping her away from her team. Once she was finally able to tag out the match broke down with each woman being highlighted and Brooke/Rose showing some solid tag teamwork. In the end, the two legal women would be Rose and Flair.

Flair delivered the big boot to get the win for her team. She wasn’t able to celebrate for long as Ripley re-entered the ring and chop blocked the left knee of Flair. Flair tried to go right after her but she had already rolled out of the ring. She taunted her on the outside to end the segment.

Cinematic close to RAW leaves Shayna Baszler screaming; Nikki Cross picks up another win

This week’s RAW ended with Shayna Baszler screaming in the dark.

Nia Jax warned Baszler prior to entering Alexa’s Playground that she had never seen Alexa Bliss this way before. That wasn’t enough to stop Baszler as she was convinced that Bliss was nothing to worry about and that Lilly is just a “stupid doll.”

The main event of the show witnessed Baszler make her way to the ring where Bliss and Lilly were waiting for her. It was Baszler’s idea from last week to have a chat with Bliss before anything got out of hand to deal with the situation. For week’s Bliss/Lilly have been targeting Baszler/Jax/Reginald and The Queen of Spades blames these occurrences for the reason why she and Jax are no longer tag team champions.

It would be Bliss who started the physical altercation after Baszler continued to mock Lilly. Bliss let her know that all she had to do was to apologize to Lilly, but Baszler was dead set on the idea that Lilly was nothing more than a stupid doll. After the confrontation got physical, Baszler took it one step further (pun intended) and stepped on Lilly.

This unleashed the anger in Lilly and the pyro went off in the arena which sent Baszler scurrying to the backstage area. Something felt different as there was no one backstage and the former Women’s Tag Team Champion was all alone. She kept trying to tell herself that Lilly was just a doll and nothing was happening but panic started setting in as she tried to escape the building as random stage equipment started falling down around her.

Baszler found herself in a room where she had hoped she was safe. However, she came to a mirror which had Lilly in the reflection. When she turned around, Lilly wasn’t there. She tried to compose herself — but once again looking at the mirror the doll reappeared. Baszler then broke the mirror, everything went black, and Baszler was left screaming as RAW went off the air.

Elsewhere on RAW, Nikki Cross picked up her third win in a row by pinning the RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley in tag team action. Unlike her prior two wins where she had to just avoid being defeated in two-minutes in Beat the Clock challenges, this win came with an actual pinfall.

Earlier in the night, Charlotte Flair wanted her loss to Cross last week to be wiped from her record. WWE Authorities Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville wouldn’t budge on the matter. They did decide that Flair should team with Ripley against Cross and an opponent of her choosing. She chose Asuka.

The match was given plenty of time and highlighted the obvious descension between Flair and Ripley. That would ultimately be their demise as Flair couldn’t help herself by taking out her own partner with Natural Selection. Flair then sat by while watching Cross pin the RAW Women’s Champion.

After the match, Cross and Asuka celebrated their win by dancing on the commentary table. The celebration continued backstage in a WWE Network Exclusive. Both women were extremely fired up from their win.

Nikki Cross wins another beat the clock challenge – this time defeats Charlotte Flair

RAW kicked off this week with a Miz TV in which RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley along with Charlotte Flair were the guests. These two women have a match for the championship at the next pay-per-view at Hell in a Cell. One woman had something to say about the championship, thus interrupting Miz TV to say her peace. That woman is Nikki Cross.

Cross defeated RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley last week by avoiding a pin or submission during a two-minute beat the clock challenge. Because she avoided defeat in that match against the champion, she believe she deserves a title opportunity. Cross then asked Flair if she defeats her in two-minutes as well – will that make her a contender to face whoever is champion after Hell in a Cell?

This then created another beat the clock challenge, this time against Flair with the same time limit of two-minutes. Flair declared she could get the job done in one minute. Regardless, Cross spent half the time avoiding Flair on the outside of the ring. As a result, Flair was not able to put away Cross in the two-minute time frame. Cross wins for the second week in a row.

Other matches on tonight’s RAW resulted in:

Reginald defeated Shayna Baszler

Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke defeated Naomi and Lana

Baszler had the Kirifuda Clutch locked in and was moments away from having Reginald tap. As she backed herself towards the corner of the ring, the fire/pyro went off at the turnbuckle which distracted her. Reginald then rolled thru on Baszler to pin her for the win. Nia Jax celebrated with Reginald backstage.

Reginald was then invited to Alexa’s Playground for later on in the night.

The last women’s match involved two teams who would like an opportunity at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. With the champions on commentary, Tamina & Natalya looked on as Naomi & Lana faced Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke. Natalya spoke a lot about Lana and how she helped train her. The match came down Brooke winning it for her team as she pins Lana.

Lastly on Alexa’s Playground, Alexa Bliss and Lilly were excited to speak with Reginald. Lilly asked Reginald how it was working with Cirque du Soleil but he wasn’t able to answer due to Baszler attacking him from behind. After taking him out, Bliss let Baszler know she wasn’t invited because Lilly doesn’t like her. Baszler says that next week they need to have a little chat and then let Lilly know that she is just a stupid doll.
