NXT Watch (November 2nd, 2011): The Magical Land Where Divas Get Time

I open this NXT Watch with a quote. Not one of those fancy spiritual quotes many people tweet about on twitter, but one that Kaitlyn herself actually retweeted… “For everyone who complains that Divas and tag teams don’t get much ring time, you’d think NXT would have a million views.” This rings no truer than … Read more

Raw Redux (October 31st, 2011): Is There Really a Title Needed For This?

I’ll be honest, it took me a good minute to find the motivation to begin this Redux. Lack of motivation had nothing to do with the fact that the Divas were in Halloween costumes, or the fact that the entire match was predicted by yours truly in last week’s Redux. It had absolutely NOTHING to … Read more

Happy Halloween! We’re continuing our yearly tradition of dreaming up Halloween costumes for our favorite Divas and Knockouts. This year, we’ll be mixing Knockouts and Divas together in three posts leading up to the big day. But before you see this year’s picks, be sure to catch up on the past 3 years of this … Read more

NXT Watch (October 26th, 2011): As Kaitlyn Topples Tamina, We Plan for a Wedding

Hiya everybody, and welcome to another edition of the NXT Watch. I have no witty saying to open this up today, being I’m still in absolute shock at what has transpired…NXT was actually uploaded on time! No four hour waits! WWE Superstars Redux (October 6th, 2011): Slow and Steady Loses the Race

So, WWE Superstars is back on WWE.com. Given that last week’s show was posted on YouTube fairly quickly, I don’t think many of us noticed a big difference. Stil, it’s nice to see that the WWE recognizes the popularity of the show and has given it back its place on the website. This week’s show … Read more

Raw Redux (October 3rd, 2011): Kelly Kelly Snaps, But So Does the Entire Roster Apparently

This week I’m taking a different approach to the Redux. As I’m writing, I’m watching Raw for the first time so this is going to be sort of a live, running commentary. You’re going to get my first hand reaction at all the things going on as they happen. It’s either going to be epic, … Read more

It’s been almost a month since the last time we’ve been treated to a Divas match on WWE Superstars, but we’re back. On deck is a rematch of the last Divas bout to air on Superstars: Alicia Fox vs. Tamina. Alicia’s been racking up quite the winning streak, taking out babyfaces and heels alike on … Read more

No Rosa or Tamina in WWE ’12

A THQ employee on Twitter has confirmed that Divas Rosa Mendes and Tamina will not be part of the upcoming WWE ’12 video game, either on the main roster or as downloadable content. Responding to fans on Twitter, @THQ_Tank responded to a question about Rosa being in the game: “Rosa Mendes is not in the … Read more

Raw Redux (August 1st, 2011): Beth Turns Heel While Vickie Continues to Bring the Fierce

When Raw has a good showing three important things happen; angels start to sing, a unicorn sprouts fairy wings and begins to fly, and I get to write a happy Redux. Last night, Raw had a good showing, and I found myself incredibly excited to talk about the show, and write about it. So lets … Read more

SmackDown Redux (July 29th, 2011): The More Things Change, the More They Stay the Same

SmackDown is starting to become hit or miss when it comes to Diva matches, but this week we were lucky enough to get one… even if it was the same match we’ve seen several times in the the past. This week. Alicia Fox, who has been on quite the winning streak as of late, leads … Read more

Raw Redux (July 18th, 2011): 45 Seconds of Pure Diva Action… Heck Yes!

Sigh. Well, this week’s Redux is going to be short, sweet, and to the point. Even I can’t work magic from a 45 second encounter. For some ungodly reason, the WWE decided to throw all the Divas onto the show and we got a ridiculous seven Diva tag match. All I can say is thank … Read more

SmackDown Redux (July 8th, 2011): Tamina: Warrior Princess is Clearly No Xena…

In a land far away, evil tyrant Vince locked out his SmackDown Divas deeming that they would not have “fun, fun, fun” on a Friday. It was a cold, harsh lockout. The Divas wandered aimlessly backstage, their reason for being taken away from them. Some drowned their sorrows in catering. Some tried to dress up … Read more

WWE Superstars Redux (June 23rd, 2011): Buy One, Get One Free

Wow, two matches on one show? How did we get so lucky? No, that’s not sarcasm. I’m genuinely pleased that there are two Divas matches on WWE Superstars this week, mostly because of the show’s reputation for producing longer, better Divas matches. Let’s see if these two matches deliver: We start off with a 6-Diva … Read more

SmackDown Redux (June 17th, 2011): Two Minutes of Wrestling Is Better Than A Chorus Line

Yes… I went there.

I think it’s fair to say that this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was nothing more than a big ole mess. Fourteen divas, one ring, and no time is never a good combination but when things end up with a chorus line or a kick line, or whatever the hell you want to call it, it’s just not good for anyone involved. I can only thank the wrestling gods high in squared circle heaven for sparing at least seven of the girls the utter humiliation of just looking dumb. As far as the other seven… well, at least three of them got a chance to redeem themselves on SmackDown. The war between the heels and the faces continued on this Friday and we finally got our six Diva tag team match. Natalya joined her rookie pals, AJ and Kaitlyn, to take on Tamina, Alicia Fox, and Rosa Mendes. Will the heels reign supreme or will the faces carrying their kick line momentum to another victory?

Like usual, we kick things off with the entrances and rather than just letting us see the face entrance, we get the heel entrance this week as well. Alicia, Tamina, and Rosa come out to Alicia’s music and they stand in the ring with their bitch faces on while the faces make their way to the ring. I also thank the wrestling gods for not letting me hear AJ’s theme again, and if all she ever does is tag with and use Natalya’s music from here on out… I’m okay with that. Anyway, the faces pose for the crowd and it’s decided that Alicia and Kaitlyn will begin.

Raw Redux (June 13th, 2011): A Chorus Line… Seriously?

This week on a special three hour edition of Raw, all the Divas from SmackDown and Raw are coming together for a good ol’ fashioned 7-on-7 tag team match. Judging from past experiences, this should be quite… er, interesting… Watch below as Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix, Eve, Gail Kim, Natalya, AJ and Kaitlyn take on … Read more

SmackDown Redux (June 10th, 2011): Lay-Cool Called. They Want Their Gimmick Back.

It’s definitely been a dismal two weeks for new SmackDown Diva, AJ. Two tag team matches, two losses, and two weeks of non-helpful advice from the Queen of Harts herself, Natalya. But with a new week comes new opportunities and our girl finally gets a singles match. Her opponent is none other than second-generation starlet, Tamina. Will AJ’s losing streak continue or will Tamina continue to impress on Friday nights?

AJ’s big singles debut kicks off with her standing backstage with some random announcer dude that is not Matt Striker. He introduces her and when AJ starts to speak, she gets interrupted by Tamina and Rosa Mendes. They have a present for AJ and when she opens it, it’s a block of fake cheese. They call AJ a mousey loser, which is stupid, and AJ tells them that Lay-Cool want their gimmick back.

Oh boy. Rosa and Tamina are not convincing bitchy heel characters and that segment was all kinds of lame. I’m not usually so harsh but that was Kelly Kelly/Drew McIntyre bad. Yikes.

Surely the match will be better, right?
