weekly5_5 RAW IS GAIL?
There has been a lot of talk this week about a Gail Kim heel turn and as a Diva Dirt favourite, we are extremely excited about the possibility in the coming weeks on Raw. It looks as though Maryse’s loss [to injury] could be Gail’s gain; as WWE teased tension between Gail and new Divas Champion, Mickie James on Raw.

Ask the Divas: Episode 4

This week, former Women’s Champions Gail Kim and Beth Phoenix tell fans why they decided to become wrestlers… Beth is so cute in real life! She’s also got that fun humor that helped Trish Stratus during her career; I am convinced Beth would be a great babyface if they allowed her to speak.

Diva Dirt Fantasy League: Season 1 Participants

fantasyleague

Thank you to everyone who has applied to be part of our first ever Diva Dirt Fantasy League! Due to the overwhelming amount of applications, we have closed the signups 24 hours before the deadline! We have decided to accept 50 participants for this first season.

Underneath the cut is a full table of all 50 particpants as well as your chosen Divas/Knockouts. If your name isn’t on the list it means A) you haven’t made the count or B) you chose a combo that was already chosen and failed to correct this in time.

If your details are wrong, please use this post to correct them. Unless there is a clash that I have missed [which is possible, as there’s 50 of you, 3 Divas/Knockouts each and one of me] you may not change your selection at this point.

Introducing Diva Dirt Fantasy League: Season 1

fantasyleague

Remember that old WWE fantasy game they used to have? Well we are launching our very own Diva Dirt Fantasy League, where you guys can earn points and possibly a big grand prize, all by picking your favourite Divas and Knockouts!

In the Diva Dirt Fantasy League, you pick 3 Divas/Knockouts from each of the 3 brands [Raw, SmackDown/ECW and TNA] and follow them through the Fantasy League season; you earn points if they wrestle, win a match etc.

This first season will take place through the month of August as sort of a test run for future seasons! Each week, we will post the leaderboard of users, the person that ranks #1 by the end of August will win a prize to be determined.

So how do you get involved? Read the rules below and then after the cut, check out the Divas/Knockouts available to pick from as well as read our points system & sign up!

RULES
– Must pick three Divas/Knockouts, one from each category.
– Your combination of Divas/Knockouts must be unique. First come first serve.
– Signups will take place from August 1st, 2009 to August 2nd, 2009. Signups close at 23:59pm UK BST.
– The Fantasy League season runs from August 1st, 2009 to August 31st, 2009.
– A typical fantasy league week runs from Sunday through Saturday.
– In the event of a pay per view, points will be carried over into the next week as per the Sunday-Saturday week.
– You may only enter once using your Diva Dirt registed user account. Anyone caught with multiple accounts will be disqualified and banned from visiting Diva Dirt in future.
– Leaderboard will be posted every Saturday or Sunday.
– At the end of the season, the person with the #1 ranking on the leaderboard will win a prize to be determined.
– In the event of a tie, the prize will be split between the joint #1 ranking users.
– Diva Dirt staff may not take part.
– In the event of an injury/suspension or something extraordinary that puts a girl on the shelf, users will be given 3 options: They may substitute the Diva/Knockout with an alternative from the same category, keep in mind that your combination must still be unique so as not to clash with another user. Alternatively, you may opt to continue the season with just two picks or withdraw from the league altogether.

The Week in Fashion: Best & Worst Dressed for August 1st, 2009

bestworstdressed

It’s a staple of tabloid magazines: hard hitting, investigative & highly entertaining! Best & Worst Dressed lists can make or break careers in Hollywood and for a site with ‘Dirt’ in the title, it’s only fitting we take this time tested feature & apply it to our Divas! Each week we’ll bring you the best and worst looks from the week gone by, it’s pretty simple right?

best

Key: School-like grading scheme

It wasn’t a great week for Diva/Knockout fashion this past week. So I guess I’m clutching at straws with my ‘Best’ picks for the week, but congrats to Melina, Gail Kim and Michelle McCool anyway.

Big pay per view match usually means new attire for our Divas, as we saw at Night of Champions when Melina wore what I think was a new variation of her usual ring-wear. The maroon coloured tights are a nice addition to her wardrobe which ranges the rainbow already. C

As for Raw Diva, Gail Kim, her usual off-the-shoulder tops and shorts were back this week in silver. Again not out of the norm for G-Kim but I liked it in silver. C

Last but finally not least is Michelle McCool, who busted out a new colour much like Melina for their PPV match. Michelle is one of those girls that not every colour suits, so the colour choice could have gone wrong here… but thankfully, it didn’t. I would go as far as to say this is probably Michelle’s most flattering variation yet, green seems to suit her exquisitely. B-

WWE’s resident French fry, Maryse is said to be on the shelf for 3 months. That would put her medical clearance for November. Maryse Says She’s ‘Bionic’ & Comments on Fan Response

Everyone’s favourite French fry, Maryse signalled that she is A-OK after surgery yesterday in Birmingham, AL. yesterday by writing that she’s ‘bionic’ on her Twitter page. In a later tweet, I’m guessing she is responding to fan response/criticism to her match at Night of Champions and/or her injury. She writes: to WWE univers good morning, … Read more
