TNA Lockdown in Review: A Minute to Win It

Hello, my lovelies! It is TNA’s time of the month again..har har. It has finally come down to Lockdown! For months, we have seen these two women battle back and forth, one being tormented for everything she stands for while the other uses her power as champion to run rampant. It is finally, and you will hear me say that a lot, FINALLY, time to settle the score between these two. Since the day she debuted, Mickie James has had her eye on Knockouts gold. In a Hair vs Title Match, locked in a steel cage, we are finally going to find out if Mickie has what it takes to become a triple crown champion. If you didn’t watch, I urge you to check it out now because you don’t want to miss it. No, seriously, don’t blink because you just might. Onward!

We first see our Knockouts backstage, where Christy Hemme states that she is personally rooting for Mickie James to win this bout against Madison Rayne. Speak of the devil, she walks up behind Christy and taps her on the shoulder, calling her Big Red. Tara is with her, not looking at all happy with her current position. Madison, wielding scissors, has an atrocious crown on her head and she tells Christy that her rooting isn’t going to help Mickie win the match. Christy counters with a question, asking Madison how it feels to know that tonight could be the last night she wears that belt. “What internet site did you read that on?” I’m gonna go with Diva Dirt, because we are all rooting for Mickie tonight. Ahem.

Mickie James Wins Knockouts Championship

Tonight at TNA’s Lockdown pay-per-view, Mickie James defeated Madison Rayne with a Mickie-DT to become the new Knockouts Champion in less than a minute. This marks the first time Mickie has held a TNA championship and makes her the first woman to hold the Women’s, Divas and Knockouts championships. Congratulations to Mickie!

PPV Predictions: TNA Lockdown 2011

The Diva Dirt team weigh in on tonight’s Lockdown pay per view:

April: To say that this feud between Mickie and Madison has gone on for a lifetime seems like an understatement. It finally came down to Madison running Mickie over for her to finally get some serious kick behind her anger, pushing things into overdrive. For this bout, I’m going to have to choose Mickie James for the win. I think it is time for her to finally get one over on Madison Rayne and take home the gold. Madison is a tremendous heel and has held that title for long enough. It needs a fresh resting place, like I’ve been saying for weeks on end. I think this time, Mickie has finally had it and I can see her really giving her all when it comes to this cage match. I am always a fan of women wrestlers taking on matches they wouldn’t normally be considered to compete in so Lockdown can definitely change things up. It’s Mickie’s time to be Knockouts Champion..let’s just hope she gets to keep her hair along with it.

TNA Victory Road in Review: The Loco Latinas Spice Up the Gold!

If only the road to victory were always paved with gold. This past Thursday on Impact, we saw a six way match between The Beautiful People, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky teaming up with Winter to take on Cookie, Sarita and Angelina Pivarnick of the Jersey Shore. Yeah. That’s what I said..however, thankfully, TBP and Winter survived and now, the real Angelina and Winter must team up to defend their coveted TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships. Who are their opponents, you ask? Well, only the Loco Latinas, Sarita and Rosita of course! I know you’re ready for this and I can say that I’m ready for this. So let’s do this!

The Knockouts action for the evening begins with a backstage segment with The Beautiful People and Winter, interviewed by Christy Hemme. The resident backstage redhead congratulates Velvet Sky on her win over Sarita and maintaining her spot with the company. She also points out that what seems the most surprising is not that win but the fact that Winter actually defended Velvet this past Thursday on Impact. Winter states that her actions last week proved that all she has ever wanted is for all of them to have friends. She says she doesn’t have an issue with Velvet but Velvet has an issue with her. She is just glad that Angelina has finally seen it all too. She is totally jealous of those leggings you’re rocking, Winter. I mean, who wouldn’t be? Velvet can’t believe it but given how Angelina just walked away, I’m wondering if she’s starting to as well… (Apologies for the lack of video).

TNA Victory Road 2011: Sarita and Rosita Win the Knockouts Tag Team Championship

Sarita and cousin Rosita emerged as the new Knockouts Tag Team Champions tonight at TNA’s Victory Road pay per view. The finish came following a clunky series of events. First Sarita brought one of the belts into the ring to clock Winter only to be attacked by Angelina. That led to a catfight between the … Read more

PPV Predictions: TNA Victory Road 2011

The Diva Dirt team weigh in on tonight’s Knockouts Tag Team Championship match.

Cryssi: Is Velvet Sky still involved with Sarita? Does she still hate Winter? If the answer is “yes” to either or both questions then expect Vel Vel to inadvertently cost Angelina and Winter the match tonight. Sarita & Rosita will emerge as the new TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions.

As well as the Femmes Fatales show in Montreal, a few other female wrestling tidbits of note:

Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick made another appearance for TNA tonight at the company’s house show in Rahway, New Jersey.

She, along with Cookie, escorted Robbie E to the ring for his triple threat match with Kazarian and Shannon Moore.

In a pre-match exchange on the microphone, Kazarian blasted Cookie and Angelina calling referring to them as byproducts of when a midget and a garden gnome have sex. Full report from that match here.

Pivarnick is currently training in Jersey at the Independent Wrestling Federation.

Against All Odds In Review (February 13th, 2011): What a Killer Disappointment…

(This is Cryssi posting on April’s behalf. Everything was written by her!)

Hello my lovelies! It is that time of the month again, when all the frustration has built up and it’s finally time to settle the score. This feud between the two key Knockouts featured on the Against All Odds card has been rocky, to say the least. They’ve battled back and forth, knocked each other out, knocked themselves out and yet still, the TNA Knockouts Championship has yet to change hands. Whether it’s an interference from the veteran bodyguard or focus on the tag team titles, it seems the Knockouts title is put on the backburner far too often. But not this time. Ladies and Gents, we saw a Last Knockout Standing match and well….we might as well get to it.

In normal pay-per-view fashion, we start out with a backstage interview with the number one contender, Mickie James. She is seen standing with the lovely Christy Hemme, who definitely impressed me with her chic look. As for Mickie, or should I say Pocahontas, not so much. For those just watching, you will see what I mean momentarily. Christy tells Mickie that she must be excited going after the belt and Mickie says that tonight is her night. The only thing standing in her way is a mouthy, bratty little bi…chump. She makes a very good point when she says, the only reason Madison Rayne has that belt is because someone laid down for her. Mickie also warns that tonight, when Madison lays down for her, she won’t be getting back up. Meow! Time for the recap video package!

HARDCORE COUNTRY! And here we go! Bounding down the ramp first is the challenger, Mickie James. See what I mean about that outfit? I’m wondering how many innocent cattle had to die to make that outfit. Maybe if she wins, we’ll get a rain dance. Sorry. I keed. Her opponent is out next, in a brand spankin’ new…colored..outfit. SHE’S A KILLER QUEEN! Well, I wished for Madison to get a new outfit with that bonus check and I guess I should be careful what I wish for. It’s a new color, still the same beer wench attire. However, she believes she’s fabulous so who am I to rain on her parade? I’ll leave that to Mickie and her tribal dancing. Madison makes her way to the ring, glove on hand with her crown and sash combination. She gives her newly patented princess wave to the crowd and takes her time getting in the ring. Mickie isn’t impressed and I’m pretty sure no one in attendance is either.

TNA Against All Odds 2011: Madison Rayne is Last Knockout Standing

It seemed like tonight would be the night for Mickie James, but nope! Madison Rayne is still Knockouts Champion. Mickie seemingly had Madison’s number tonight after ripping her loaded glove off of her hand and wearing it herself. What she didn’t count on was that Rayne had a pair of brass knuckles tucked away in … Read more
