Thanks to Ryan for sending in these pictures of Serena Deeb’s TNA tryout a couple of weeks ago. As previously reported, the former WWE Diva faced Winter. [nggallery id=490]
It’s fair to say that it’s been one heck of a week in WWE Diva-land. We’ve seen epic brawls, exciting Diva drafts, and we were given something incredibly exciting to look forward come SmackDown and the weekend. At the Tuesday night taping, the former BFF duo known as Lay-Cool, squared off in a match that would seemingly put all their issues to rest. Michelle McCool and Layla didn’t wrestle, they brawled. And needless to say their match didn’t happen. But the gauntlet was thrown down and the stipulations were added… and come to find out, very badly edited later. Lets take a look!
The ‘Cool’ part of Lay-Cool is the first to make her way to the ring. Michelle is sporting her SmackDown pride shirt and she does her usual playing to the crowd once she enters the ring. The Lay-Cool theme music continues to play as Lay makes her way out. She is dressed in her blue brand shirt as well and she looks a lot more hesitant to get in the ring than Michelle! Perhaps she’s having regrets over beating the tar out of Michelle?
Former WWE Divas Champion, Michelle McCool is leaving WWE, according to the Wrestling Observer.
The first ever Divas Champion will face off with Layla this Sunday at Extreme Rules in a ‘Loser Leaves WWE’ match. It’s reported that the match could serve as her exit from the company.

Good lard! Has it been a week already?! I have no idea where my time has gone but we’re back with another edition of the Impact Write-Up brought to you by your good friends at The Colon Cleanse! They’ll clean your crap while you take a nap! Last week, we saw a major shit storm hover right over the King and Queen of the Mountain, with promise of a new intruder to their kingdom. We also saw another break in the bond between a former chumpion and her minion. Not to mention that rabid beatdown in the locker room. This week, we have a match between two feuding BFFs, one of which is missing all her screws. We are also sucked into the dreaded conspiracy of the one who hunts Lady J. Who could it be? We may find out sooner than you think! So ride along little ones!
FINALLY! A show that starts out with the TNA Knockouts, pretty much all of which are in the ring when the show hits the air. It seems we’re in the middle of Karen Jarrett, lining them up and going down the line, one by one. She starts out with someone who appears to be the TNA seamstress, given the measuring tape over her shoulder and her statement of getting his measurements. Karen, being the ever so witty one, tells her to take her dancing fingers and dance them out of the ring. After that line, I’m pretty sure Karen should just be revoked from ever speaking on the microphone. Ever.
SHIMMER will return to the Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL on October 1st and 2nd to tape volumes 41-44 in its DVD series. Front row tickets will go on sale in a few weeks according to the SHIMMER office. More information here.
SmackDown just aired in Australia and a couple of readers sent in word of an update to the previously revealed Extreme Rules match this Sunday. For spoiler purposes, it is in spoiler tags: Thanks to Matthew & Nick for the tip.
This week on WWE Superstars, new Smackdown Divas, Alicia Fox and Natalya, had their last match as Raw Divas (for now) in a ol’ tag team match. Alicia and Natalya teamed up with Melina and Gail Kim, respectively, before being shipped off to the blue brand. Which team comes out on top? Check out the match below:
Thoughts: This is what we should be getting on Raw every week, especially considering Raw currently has the only Divas title in WWE. This is the best I’ve seen Melina in quite some time. She seems to have honed her moveset and everything looks a lot cleaner than it has in the past; Not to mention her team chemistry with Alicia was very strong.

After being eliminated on WWE Tough Enough this past Monday night, Diva Dirt catches up with Miss USA, Rima Fakih to discuss her shock exit. Rima spills the beans on a previously undisclosed rib injury that led to her being cut — and reveals who’s responsible for the injury. We also talk to Miss USA about her highlights on the show, thoughts on the other contestants (which girl is Rima not a fan of?), Trish and what happened between her and Andy that led to her throwing a drink in his face!
Tonight on the show, we talk and take your calls about the WWE Draft moves. DIVA-DIRT.COM/LIVE LOG ON AT 9.45PM FOR CHAT • SHOW AT 10PM

My dear Tough Enough brethren… and er, sisteren, apologies for the late Redux this week. A little thing called the WWE Draft happened and sent us into an orbital spin from which we have only just recovered. Well, that and I spent the past 24 hours weeping in bed that our adorable, sassy, minxy little Miss USA has been shown the door on Tough Enough. Ahem, enough about that…
Let’s catch up on this week’s TE!
After surviving elimination for yet another week, Rima arrives at the house where she’s greeted by a strange and mysterious figure. Who is this Christina and what has she done with the mute? In her confessional, Christina says that Ryan (Skidmarks, to you and I) should have confidence or people will walk all over you. So not only is she utterly adorable, but she’s wise beyond her years too!
Here are the spoilers for this week’s edition of Friday Night Smackdown:

On this week’s special draft edition of Monday Night Raw, SmackDown’s Layla squared off against Raw’s Eve, with a draft pick on the line for their brand. To top things off, Layla’s former friend Michelle McCool is at ringside. Will Layla be to score a pick for the blue brand or will Michelle’s presence ensure a victory for Eve? Check out the match below:
We kick things off with Eve already in the ring, representing the red brand. Layla makes her way to the ring next, sporting a customized Smackdown T-shirt. While Layla does her usual entrance, Michelle makes her way out to ring to watch her former friend’s match. After a quick recap of Layla and Michelle’s fight on Smackdown, the official signals for the bell and our cross-branded Divas match is underway.
WWE shook up the Divas roster in the annual WWE Draft today with five Divas finding new homes.
SmackDown gained three new Divas in Alicia Fox, Natalya and Tamina, while Raw gained the duo of Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly.
Thoughts: While it had been widely expected for Beth to move over to Raw, seeing her and Kelly move is a shocker. That now means SmackDown will have to build its division around a new top babyface, likely Natalya or whichever member of LayCool turns face. I hope to see a Tamina heel turn, however, because I think she has a lot of potential in a Khali/Big Show-like role.
The new WWE Divas rosters after the jump!
WSU will be holding two matches on May 27th that could have implications for its 6/25 iPPV.

Miss USA, Rima Fakih, was the latest contestant cut on WWE’s Tough Enough this week. Host ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin decided that Rima wasn’t ‘physically ready’ for the competition. Breaking from tradition, Austin simply eliminated Rima without the usual bottom three segment. After being eliminated, Trish Stratus told Rima that she reminded her of herself … Read more
