Survivor Series in Review: A Dream Becomes Reality for Nattie, Plus the Glamazon Strikes Back
Last night’s Survivor Series 2010 marked the third meeting between Co-Divas Champions, Lay-Cool and the third generation Diva, Natalya. Natalya has faced off against both members of Lay-Cool individually and came up short, but last night the odds were stacked even more against. This time she’d have to face both members in a 2-on-1 handicap match. Can the first lady of The Hart Dynasty take out the BFF champions to become the first ever third generation Divas Champion? Check out the match below:
Out first are the Co-Divas Champions and Michelle McCool is looking stunning in a copper variation of her usual ring gear. Layla… not so much. I don’t know what it is about Divas and mixing neon colors and weird prints, but it never looks good and this was no exception. I’m usually a big fan of Layla’s choices in ring gear, but this was a definite miss for her.
Trish Stratus Weighs in on Natalya and Beth at Survivor Series
From a current Hall of Famer to a future one, Trish Stratus has also commented on last night’s Divas action at Survivor Series via her Twitter page.

JR Comments on Natalya’s Title Win and Beth’s Return
WWE Hall of Famer, Jim Ross commented on last night’s Survivor Series on his official website and offered a few wise comments about the Divas. Read below:
Good to see Beth Phoenix back on TV and congrats to Nattie Neidhart for winning the Divas Title. I would love to see WWE be able to put more time into the Divas area of the promotion as we get tons of emails from folks who are fans of the female athletes. Nonetheless no one can wave a magic wand and recreate the magic that Trish and Lita, among many others, possessed back in the day.

Thoughts: Last night’s great exchange between Natalya and Beth has whet many people’s appetites. While it unfortunately seems unlikely, most want to see Beth vs Natalya at ‘Mania next year and last night’s pay per view could have been seen the beginning of something. If WWE does wise up and do something with it, especially amp up the promos and personal animosity in the storyline, this could be one hell of a feud that could be help set the bar for the women’s division today. Nonetheless, it’s great to see Beth back and it’s even greater to see Nattie with the belt.

Jennifer Cruz Gives Hint on Mystery Partner:
Jennifer Cruz told WSUWrestling.com today that when she challenges for the WSU Tag Team titles on 12/11 her mystery partner will be someone that has never appeared in WSU before. Cruz would not give out any more details, only to say that “We will cleanse WSU of the filth that permeates the company, and on 12/11 we start with the Belle Saints.”
It should be interesting to see who Cruz brings to WSU on 12/11.
Survivor Series 2010: Natalya Wins Divas Championship, Beth Phoenix Returns
WWE has crowned its first ever third generation female champion in Natalya. The Hart Dynasty Diva finally overcome Lay-Cool in a two-on-one handicap match at Survivor Series when she made Michelle McCool tap to the Sharpshooter.
A flood of tears followed as Natalya finally realised her dream — to be champion.
The celebration however, was briefly cut short as Lay-Cool attacked Nattie post-match which prompted the return of the Glamazon, Beth Phoenix, returning to WWE after six months out due to an ACL tear.
After clearing house of Lay-Cool — exclaimed by a Glam Slam on Layla — Beth raised Natalya high on her shoulders as the new champion showed off her newly won championship. A real sight to be seen and a beautiful, tender moment as both Natalya and Beth were in tears.
Congratulations to Natalya and welcome back to Beth!

PPV Predictions: WWE Survivor Series 2010
The 24th annual Survivor Series takes place tonight as Natalya challenges both members of Lay-Cool for the Divas Championship. Will third time be the charm? We weigh in…
Cryssi: I’ve gone back and forth on this so many times this week. I really can’t decide who I want to win. The magic 8-ball I borrowed from Captain Charisma tells me that Natalya will win the championship tonight. It specifically said “all signs point to yes.” The evidence to support the magic 8-ball’s theory is pretty strong. Lay-Cool were buried on Raw and they came back and buried Natalya on SmackDown. Going into every other pay-per-view match, Natalya has gained the upper-hand which has set up a cheap Lay-Cool victory perfectly. This week it’s different. And this match has a different feel to it. This should be Natalya’s last chance to capture the title while Lay-Cool hold it and even the WWE isn’t dumb enough to keep her from it for a third straight time.
Or are they?
I’ve thrown the magic 8-ball out of the window (sorry, Christian!) and have come up with this all on my own. Beth Phoenix will make her return tonight and she will intentionally screw Natalya out of the victory. Lay-Cool will escape with their championship reign still intact but now they will have the Glamazon to contend with, the very woman they took the Women’s Championship from way back when. So yes, Lay-Cool retain tonight with Michelle picking up the pinfall while Layla gets beat down on the outside by Beth as a message.”
David: Is the third time the charm for Natalya? Will she finally topple Lay-Cool and capture the Divas Championship at Survivor Series? This has to be it, right? Her third consecutive pay-per-view title match surely has to result in Natalya walking out with the gold, leading to the long-awaited break-up between Michelle and Layla. Even the booking suggests this will happen, with Lay-Cool getting in each other’s way, Natalya getting some help to ‘even’ the odds (rumored to be Beth Phoenix…gulp), and using the sharpshooter to force a submission. If this happens I would feel very good for Natayla, but in the end I think Lay-Cool wins the match and then beats down Natalya until someone makes the save. Maybe Beth, maybe the rest of the Divas. Unfortunately I don’t think this feud has been built to finish with a title change, it feels more like “filler” until Beth returns from injury. I hope this isn’t the case. Natalya deserves better.
EriC: This has to be the most predictable match since Maryse vs. Gail Kim in the finals of the Divas Championship tournament. Natalya is outsmarted when its one on one versus Michelle. The same when its versus Layla. In WWE land this of course means that she will be able to defeat both of them at the same time. Lay-Cool will screw up and Michelle will big boot Layla. Natalya either takes out Michelle and pins Layla, or sharpshooters? sharpshoots? (can you verb this?) Michelle for the win. The real expectations for this match lie in the aftermath. Will Natalya get a nice tearful celebration? Will a certain Phoenix reappear to challenge for the belt? I am hoping for the latter.
Southern Belle Smack (Issue #2) – Why One Diva SHOULDN’T Be Divas Champion

Welcome everyone to another fabulous edition of the Southern Belle Smack proudly sponsored by… err hang on. This isn’t audio, is it? This is a column, blog, whatever you want to call it and it just so happens that this is the second edition of Diva Dirt‘s Southern Belle Smack. It’s been so long since I’ve written one of these that I don’t even remember what the first one was about. NXT perhaps? If that’s true then the last (and only) SBS appeared about ten weeks ago. Yikes. So much for weekly/bi-weekly feature, eh?
Notice how I threw in a little Canadian lingo there?
A Canadian is the subject of this blog today and that woman just happens to be competing in Miami tonight at the WWE Fall classic known as Survivor Series. Natalya, our Canadian subject in case you’ve already tuned out, will have a third crack at the Divas Championship when she steps inside the ring to face Lay-Cool in a 2-on-1 handicap match. There’s an old saying that seems fitting for tonight: the third time’s the charm. All signs would certainly indicate that Natalya is poised to walk out of the American Airlines Arena as the newly crowned queen of the WWE.
If anyone deserves this accolade, it’s the third generation Diva. She’s arguably the most skilled girl they have on the roster and she’s one of the best in the world. That alone should make her a shoo-in to become champ and I believe in my heart that she will finally get her first taste of WWE purple gold tonight. But my head… well that’s another story. My head sees Natalya losing tonight. Once again she’ll find herself robbed of championship glory and this time she will be out of chances.
And you know what? I’m fine with that. In my humble opinion, Natalya shouldn’t be Divas Champion.

Tiffany Writes Heartfelt Blog on Release, Thanks Fellow Divas
Former WWE Diva, Tiffany, real name Taryn Terrell, posted a lengthy blog on her MySpace page commenting on her release from WWE yesterday as well as giving individual thanks to her fellow employees, including the Divas.
She writes:
I am saddened not to be a part of WWE but I wanted to address all my supportive fans. You have been such an integral part of my WWE journey. You have supported me since the Diva Search and for that, I thank you.
I do not know what lies ahead of me but I promise to always keep you informed. WWE is an amazing company and I am so proud to have once been a WWE Diva. I met so many wonderful people and had the opportunity to train and work with some of the best in the business.
Thank you WWE and the WWE Universe. It was an amazing ride. WWE will continue to big a part of my family as I will support my husband and be his biggest cheerleader. Everything must come to an end at some point and my journey with WWE has ended for today. Amazing company, amazing people, and as tears fall down my face I hate that I am no longer a part of the company. I have fallen in love with wrestling and have such a passion for it. I don’t want to stop wrestling and God-Willing, I won’t!

Introducing A Londoner’s Eye (Issue #1) – Beth Phoenix: A Lady Amongst Divas
Hello one and all! Welcome to a new column, ‘A Londoner’s Eye’ here at Diva Dirt piggybacking building off of the success of David’s wonderful column. I always get emails and questions about my opinion on this, that and the other and as you all know by now, I am highly opinionated on pretty much everything, so this new column will be a notebook of sorts which I hope to regularly update with my thoughts on what’s going on in the world of women’s wrestling. There likely won’t be any regaling tales from my childhood, though — I’ll leave that to David.
However, this first column does have some connection to our self-professed Mr Glamazon, as you can probably guess by the title. This one is all about a certain glamorous amazon, who like her name suggests, we are all eagerly awaiting to rise from the ashes in the coming days or weeks.
I admire Beth Phoenix for a number of reasons: her determination and passion for the industry, to me, shines through. She had a long journey to get to WWE and now she’s living her dream and seems like she doesn’t take it for granted one bit. Then there’s her striking physique. Furthermore Beth, in my opinion, fits perfectly into WWE’s PG era along with the likes of John Cena, because she’s a great role model regardless of whether she’s a babyface or heel.
As a babyface, she’s able to connect with her fans and be that role model a little more, but even as a heel Beth was always smart, savvy and headstrong — attributes that women and young girls can look up to. Beth has made her character come across elegant — even though she slams girls into the mat — and you’d never dream to hear the word ‘whore’ come out of this Diva’s mouth. No sir. Leave that to the Knockouts. Though we’d love to have seen Beth tussle with the likes of Trish, Lita, Victoria et al, somehow I’ve always felt she fits much better into this era than the last. Though the Divas then didn’t curse as much as the Knockouts, they were pretty sexually suggestive and explicit themselves. Beth Phoenix, the elegant, graceful, Parents Television Council-friendly Glamazon wouldn’t have worked quite as well as it does now.
Yet for all the praise I have heaped on Beth in that last paragraph, I haven’t always been so enamored with Beth.

Survivor Series is 24 hours away and it’s time to reminisce. In 2008, WWE finally gave us what we’d been waiting for — a traditional Survivor Series elimination match for the Divas. We hadn’t seen one since that one involving Debra, Moolah and Mae and frankly, that wasn’t exactly what I had in mind.

SmackDown Redux (November 19th, 2010): Well That Was Special And A Super Way To Build Up A Match
Tonight on SmackDown…
Still smarting from their humiliation this past Monday on Raw, Michelle McCool and Layla looked for redemption in the form of tag team action against their number one rival, Natalya, and her partner (again), Kelly Kelly. With Lay-Cool haters and Mae Young not around, Lay-Cool look to regain the upperhand on their way to this Sunday’s pay-per-view extravaganza. But if history remains true, then Natalya should come out victorious and on top, right?
Lets see…
Layla and Michelle McCool are in the ring as SmackDown returns from break. They are posing with their championships and checking their reflections. Eventually their music fades and is replaced by Natalya’s theme. She makes her way to the ring with her tag team partner for this evening, Kelly Kelly, and they’re being their face best with happy smiles. They’re even holding hands.
Layla and Kelly are set to begin the match of course, Layla and Michelle just have to throw in a few Smelly Kelly references. The bell rings and the girls lock up. They jostle for position with Kelly backing Layla into the ropes. Layla forces her foe back and looks to land a decisive kick, but Kelly puts a stop to that and fires back with a nice looking forearm shot. Layla is whipped across the ring and taken down with a Thesz Press from Kelly. Kelly slams her opponent’s head into the ground a few times and then picks up Layla. She locks her arm around Layla’s neck and backs her into the corner. Natalya gets the tag.
Impact Write-Up (November 18, 2010): The Beautiful People No Match for Hardcore Country & Jersey
We had more Knockouts action tonight than you could shake a stick at! (Although why you’d want to shake a stick at them is beyond me…) Let’s dive right in, shall we?
Prior to their match, we see Generation Me walking towards the entrance backstage when Tara comes up and wishes them luck. She makes sure they know she’ll be watching VERY closely, emphasizing this with a smack to not just one but both men’s backsides. Woo, you go Tara!
Switching gears to the ring, it’s going to be a mixed tag team match pitting Jay Lethal, the Motor City Machine Guns and Velvet Sky vs Generation Me, Robbie E and Cookie. For a minute, I think something’s wrong with Cookie’s eyes until I realize she has extended blue eyelashes on. Oookay. Last out is Velvet, in her pink attire. As she enters the ring, Sabin takes a seat and puts all his focus on her as Tazz and Tenay make mention of those two dating. Even Jay has a grin on his face. Perhaps he’s thinking he finally has found an equalizer in his fight against Robbie and Cookie.
Tiffany Comments on WWE Release, Accepting Bookings, Launches Facebook
Just released Diva, Tiffany aka Taryn Terrell has been super busy in the hours since her release! Commenting on her Twitter page on her release, she said:
Thank you WWE for an amazing journey. I am saddened by the news but forever grateful for the experience. Blog to come later today. Thank you to all my supportive fans. You are wonderful.

Jillian & Tiffany Released
WWE has announced that former Divas Champion, Jillian and SmackDown Diva Tiffany have both been released.
Neither Diva has been seen on television in quite some time due to various reasons. For Jillian, it’s because WWE wished to move her into the role of trainer for the female talents in developmental. For Tiffany, she had been serving an indefinite suspension due to an altercation with husband and WWE star, Drew McIntyre in their hotel room back in August.
Jillian made her debut in 2005 after working in OVW, first debuting on SmackDown as ‘image consultant’ to MNM and then JBL. Originally, Jillian sported a growth on her face which was then bitten off by the Boogeyman. Jillian then adopted a tone-deaf songstress gimmick, ‘performing’ before her matches and even released her own Christmas EP via iTunes in 2007 — a re-release of which was issued earlier this month, with WWE.com doing a big feature on it. Despite being an extremely gifted athlete, Jillian unfortunately never truly reached the top of the division minus a five minute stint as Divas Champion last October. Jillian won the belt from Mickie James and immediately dropped it to Melina.
As for Tiffany, the former Diva Search contestant was originally hired to a developmental deal in 2007 after the Search. She joined the ECW brand as assistant GM and then GM until the brand folded this past February. Tiffany then moved to SmackDown, competing in the Divas division, where she really impressed in the matches she had against the likes of Michelle McCool. Considered to have great potential, her career came to a halt and has been in limbo since that incident in August which made newspapers in McIntyre’s home country of Scotland. Tiffany has been suspended since then and frankly, it’s unsurprising (though sad) that she was released.

Chyna Denies Filming Adult Movie
Former WWE Diva, Chyna has denied that she filmed scenes for an adult movie for Vivid Entertainment.
Writing on her Twitter page, Chyna wrote: “The porn rumors are 100% untrue. Media never takes the time to verify these reports before posting them no matter how damaging they are.”
The original claim came from former WWE Head of Security, Jimmy Noonan on a podcast hosted by another former WWE employee, Bruce Pritchard.
Thoughts: Apologies to Chyna for the incorrect report that was published on Diva Dirt yesterday. Though we published the original story in good faith, we are happy to provide a correction. Furthermore, I am rather relieved to learn that Chyna has not filmed a pornographic movie. I was kind of worried that she had fallen on harder times. She hasn’t had the easiest of lives since leaving WWE, most recently being rushed to hospital.
EVOLVE Promoter Says He Brought In Reby Sky Because She Can Talk
In case you haven’t heard, model and Lucha Libre USA star Reby Sky has been booked for tomorrow’s EVOLVE show in Union City, New Jersey. However, promoter Gabe Sapolsky says Reby was booked — not because of her Playboy model looks — but because she can talk and show personality.
Writing on the Heyman Hustle website, he says: “After watching some videos of Reby, I realized she could talk, and had a great deal of charisma and personality. Reby is a true talent. In football terms, Reby Sky is a 1st round draft pick.”

Thoughts: It’s nice to see any female wrestler being praised for her talking and charisma because it is something we don’t often see discussed when it comes to the Divas, Knockouts etc. Reby is a young up-and-comer with a real passion for wrestling, and it’s great to see her, pardon the pun, evolve in the industry. We hope to hear more and more about her in 2011. I could definitely see WWE snap her up. Go Reby!
For those not too familiar with Reby, we first introduced her to our readers back in July, just prior to the premiere of Lucha Libre USA where Reby is part of the broadcast team. Until recently, Reby has been on the sidelines discussing wrestling as co-host of ‘Busted Open’ on Sirius XM but is slowly but surely pursuing her own career in the industry first with LLUSA and now with EVOLVE, as well as training in her downtime.
WWE Superstars Redux (November 18, 2010): The Return of Gailina
For the Superstars main event last night, we had the Divas taking center stage! It was be the team of Gail Kim and Melina taking on Alicia Fox and Maryse. Can Galina prevail, or will the Fox and the Minx get the win?
Out first is Melina in a blue attire, and we have the awesomely awesome CM Punk on commentary. I approve. But here we fade to commercial, and when we return, Gail Kim is already in the ring, chatting with Melina. She’s in her usual gear, white coloured this time, and it looks very nice on her. Last out are Alicia Fox (in her black WrestleMania gear) and Maryse (also in black). We’re starting out with Melina and Alicia. The two lockup and Melina hits a nice split leg armdrag, followed by a dropkick. Alicia’s in the ropes, so Melina hits her running knee strike to the back and goes for a pin. The ref counts two.
Melina hauls Alicia to her feet and backs into her corner, allowing Gail to tag herself in. Melina hits a snapmare, Gail hits a nice dropkick and goes for another pin, this time only getting one.
Recap of Kelly Kelly on Bubba the Love Sponge
SmackDown Diva, Kelly Kelly was interviewed on Bubba the Love Sponge’s radio show yesterday to promote WWE’s Survivor Series pay per view.

Kelly Kelly came in, bubba asked that no one take a picture of her boots, as
he thinks heather will go nuts over them, Spice thinks you couldn’t
wrestle in those boots. Bubba thinks she’s like the John Cena of
divas, Brett said she is, Bubba thinks she’s the most over one, he
then said that he once tried selling Hogan’s boots on EBay. Kelly said
she’ll be in Smackdown, she said she’ll role out with the boots, she
said her eye lashes are half fake. Bubba asked if Kelly fit the Spice
template, he then asked Kelly who she is currently with, Kelly
wondered why bubba is mentioning this, Bubba said he’s like family.
Kelly said that her and Michelle Cools will be wrestling. Bubba asked
her about being on Raw, Kelly said that Beth was the only baby face on
there, someone had to go.

Former WWE Diva Films Adult Movie
Former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Chyna has filmed an adult movie for adult entertainment company Vivid Entertainment, according to former WWE employee Jimmy Noonin on the ‘Something to Wrestle With’ podcast.
Noonin says that the scene was filmed with a male adult film star who he is friends with.
Chyna previously had a sex tape leaked which was released as ‘1 Night in Chyna’.
Vivid is also behind the releases of sex tapes featuring Kim Kardashian and Kendra Wilkinson.
