30 Influential LGBTQ Wrestlers, June 26: Kagetsu

It is June and that means for the whole month the LGBTQ community get to celebrate extra hard about being ourselves every day! And because of that, every day here throughout the month, we are going to spotlight one LGBTQ+ wrestler. These names are not going to be in any order. So, this won’t be a countdown but more of just a highlight to celebrate.

For June 26, we have a former STARDOM talent Kagetsu.

Kagetsu is a Japanese transgender man who came out as trans in 2022. He had worked for promotions such as STARDOM, Sendai Girls, and has appeared in ROH. He was trained by Meiko Satomura.

While in STARDOM, Kagetsu is a former World of Stardom Champion as well as both Goddess of Stardom and Artist of Stardom Champion. He defeated Toni Storm for the World of Stardom Title in 2018. He held the Artist and Goddess Titles with Hana Kimura and Kyomo Kimura.

Kagetsu retired in 2020 during a final match with Satomura. In 2021, Kagetsu did come out of retirement to participate in the Hana Kimura Memorial Show. In 2022 he appeared, after announcing he is trans, at the second Hana Kimura Memorial Show as the shows ambassador.
